Parliament could have repealed the European Communities Act of 1974, stopped paying Brussels any money and taken back the sole rights to our own territorial fishing waters, from being a 'common European resource' by now, for a start.
Of course, the reason they haven't done any of that, or even invoked this supposed 'article 50' or whatever, is because they don't want to pull out.
The liberal and media elite still don't get it.
The political elite do, but still pretend.
They still think it's a 'protest vote' and that people were somehow conned.
And of course consequently, they either want the vote ignored or overturned.
Hence the wait for something to magically pop up that they will say it only fair we have another vote or think twice etc,. blah, blah.
It doesn't matter what the majority was, a majority is just that (see blog, Back to School, liberals 26/6/26).
It doesn't matter what the Scottish want, they're not a country, but simply another part of the British Isles.
It doesn't matter what a campaign group called 'Vote Leave' said, did or promised.
Neither they nor any individual in any group which campaigned to leave constitute the government or Parliament; it goes without saying (or should do), only they have the power to legislate.
All this nonsense about where's the extra few hundred million for the WHS (World Health Service) and that 'they' lied.
These idiots obviously want to stay in and are simply bad losers.
What if 'they' had pledged we were all going to the moon in a pink blancmange after the referendum, if we voted to leave.
Would we now be demanding a launch date?
Do these fools believe everything they're told?
All that was said by certain people in certain campaign groups and indeed, I had said even I had said in conversation with friends, was that the money saved could be spent ourselves on what we want.
They said that it could be spent on the WHS.
But the crucial point here is that whatever it's spent on, at least our own government decides.
Same goes for Wales and all the arty-farty types moaning they won't get their 'E.U.' grants anymore.
They need to lobby their M.P.'s and the government about it.
And if they don't like what the government is or isn't doing with their money, then they can vote for someone else; something that you simply cannot do with the E.E.C.
And I say your money, as the E.E.C. has no money.
There's no such thing as 'E.U' money; it is taxpayers' money from all the member countries which is paid out of what is left, after the funding and expenses of the E.E.C. itself.
Of course the Eastern European countries want to stay in, love it and indeed are queuing up to join, as they pay in far less than they get out.
They must think they've hit the jackpot.
And they have.
None of the above and none of the minority groups, pressure groups, cities or areas of the country can change the fact we've had a free, democratic vote on whether to leave the E.E.C. or to remain a part of it.
And people have voted to leave.
For whatever reason they did, they did.
The individual's reasons are irrelevant, as it's a free vote and by definition, that's the whole point.
As leave means leave, get on with it.
