All this nonsense about 'cyber' warfare and all these self-appointed, 'cyber' security 'experts'.
What a load of baloney.
Just buy Norton anti-virus or better still, unplug your computer.
What's this obsession with everything being online anyway?
Talk about making a rod for your own back.
Why on earth would you want to connect something like a power station or Hospital to the internet; let alone a car or even more ludicrously, a fridge for crying out loud?
The mind boggles.
Why would anyone would need their home lighting 'system' to be 'connected' for example, when they can just walk in and turn the lights on?
Why would you expend time and money buying an electronic gadget, to put some batteries in it, then buy and load software on to it in order to read a book, when you could just... read a book.
Talk about over engineer things.
Some bright spark on T.V. just said that the Doctors are having to use a pen and paper to write things down (shock, horror) and that it 'slows' admissions process down.
He's obviously forgot that someone still has to type it in to a computer and indeed it takes just as long to type, as it does to write.
So it's the same difference, you could say.
There is of course a crucial and somewhat more worrying fact that has been exposed in all of this is; which is that nobody thought to make an analogue, i.e. written copy, of the records which are held on computers.
Computers may be fine for games and porn, while they're working that is, but obviously you can't beat pen and paper.
Because it's failsafe.
