This was with specific regard to a large number of recent crimes, namely the rape of white women by gangs of Asian men, in Rotherham and elsewhere.
Something which the whole motivation for, was obviously and solely because the girls were white.
Something which seemed to elude Miss Ridge, as she pressed him why it should indeed be considered as such, since (she rightly stated) any racial motivation can already be taken in to account, as an aggravating factor in any crime; thus apparently demonstrating her inability to understand why it could and should have been classed, as a 'hate' crime.
Let's hope she has a better grasp of nappy changing than she appears to have of politics, for her own sake.
Put the kettle on, dear.
Same old story really, these liberal doo-gooders simply believe that 'racism' can only happen to non-white people.
But there is a more relevant point to note here.
Apart from the obvious hypocrisy of if the boot were on the other foot and it was a gang of white men raping Asian women there would be hell to pay and apart from if that was not considered a 'hate' crime she would be up in arms about it, it raises an interesting truth.
It is precisely the fact there is already provision in law for any aggravating factors in a crime, that it's not even needed and indeed the reason why we don't even subscribe to the notion of the invented, politically correct nonsense of a 'hate' crime in the first place.
And we say nonsensical, because you don't have to hate someone to commit a crime against them; hence the ability in law to discriminate between different aggravating factors in an individual crime.
A usual, new laws are deemed necessary all the time in order to try and to cover individual, specific crimes despite the crime already being governed by a generic law, covering all.
However, if you're going to entertain such nonsense then it should be equally applied, Miss Ridge.
If attacks by Asian men against white women is not a 'hate' crime, then attacks by white people on black or Asian people shouldn't be defined as a 'hate' crime either.
