I mean, if you were sat in the waiting room with a black person, then all things being equal, you would already know you're not going to get the job.
That's because of the hypocritical 'equality' brigade, that despite claiming to be 'tolerant' and continually bleat on about discrimination, have this bizarre notion that all Public/private bodies, institutions and alike, have to be made up by a representative example of the population.
Companies are not formed to fulfil this objective; neither do they have any remit to do so.
And why it's ok to discriminate against white people who go for a job by giving it to someone, just because they're black, is not only equally absurd, but hypocritical.
It's also offensive, not only to any right minded person, but especially demeaning to the intelligence of any minority group of people who are quite capable of doing a job, without preferential treatment.
Of course, it's not even crossed their tiny, bigoted minds that it might simply be perhaps the best people are awarded the position, regardless of colour; or anything else for that matter.
I mean, what exactly do you do if no black person or a woman, a homosexual, a disabled person, an Asian, a young or an old person doesn't apply for your available position of airline pilot?
Run out in the street and grab someone just because they fulfil that discriminatory appearance and give them the job, even though they can't fly a plane?
This has actually been going on for far longer than you think; I too have only just realized quite how far back it's been obsessed about.
A friend of mine whose dad was a lead aircraft/flight engineer in the R.A.F. in the 50's and 60's, told me that he was questioned back then by top brass, as to why he didn't have any black people in his engineering department.
Apparently, his dad simply said that if you can bring me someone that can do the job, they'll get the job.
We've wrote about this before and I'll stick with the fact that I couldn't give two hoots if all the firemen who came to any fire of mine were just that, men, or indeed whether they were all one legged, black, homosexual women.
So long as they could put the fire out and were indeed the best candidates for the job, I couldn't care less if they weren't 'representative' of the population.
It brings a whole new dimension to the question ''Is it because I'm black?''.
