The first assertion is that someone who got you in to a mess, should get you out of it.
We've all heard it... 'Well the Prime Minister created this mess, so she should clear it up', that sort of comment.
Well I'm sorry to shatter your illusion, but I for one wouldn't feel confident that the Captain of say, the Titanic, would quite exactly have been the best man to pilot one of the lifeboats, for example.
And although true he did get them in to the mess, it was due to his apparent incompetence and criminal negligence.
Hence precisely why I would have thought he would be the last person you would have the slightest faith in, let alone trust him with anything else, even remotely resembling something important.
Much in the same way as I wouldn't want a pilot who had just made a mistake and consequently crashed an Aeroplane, to subsequently fly me home in any rescue helicopter or drive a vehicle which came to save me.
The second contention held by some of the more clueless liberals, concerns the alleged problem of an ageing population in Britain.
They claim that we need lots more young people to provide for this supposed 'problem' of an ageing population and consequently not only do we need immigrants, but we need lots of them and therefore somehow, unlimited immigration is good.
Now, apart from the fact that they don't then prevent more 'old' people from entering Britain, what these idiots are too dim to realize is that young people also actually become old one day.
Therefore, quite why they think how letting in thousands more people is going to help, is bizarre.
It fact of course, it can only possibly make the situation worse; that is indeed if you believe there is actually a problem in the first place.
I say that, because apart from the fact that people have grown old since the dawn of time, it has never been noted, as a 'problem' before.
And I also say it because it's really just an excuse to cut the value of pensions and raise retirement age.
I'm sure there'll be lots more mindless and misleading ideas to come.
