Given that they are both British overseas territories, what exactly is wrong with any of that?
Well said, Michael.
We hope she does stand up, as in common with Mrs Thatcher did and that she is indeed not, 'Theresa the appeaser'.
I would have thought that most people with an ounce of common sense would see what he said, as a perfectly legitimate, valid reference to the resolve which Mrs Thatcher clearly had, as something to be both admired and aspired to; something he believes Mrs. May also possesses and was simply drawing a comparison of.
They should certainly easily be able to see through the synthetic outrage which the politically correct, bleeding heart liberals are already propagating.
(See blog, Political correctness. The nemesis of common sense 28/3/17).
It didn't take long to get another band wagon rolling for professional offence takers and 'victimhood' mentality liberals everywhere to jump on though; cue the same, sanctimonious drivel that the wishy-washy, p.c. brigade always trot out, as they too jump aboard.
Predictably, by 10pm this evening, sure enough the simple observation and analogy made by Michal Howard, had morphed in to the somewhat bizarre and exaggerated claim on Sky News that he had warned of 'war with Spain'.
Am I missing something here?
Talk about being maliciously misquoted.
But then again, Sky News is a stalwart of liberal fundamentalism (see blog, Sky News and Calais 12/12/15, Biased T.V. media 11/6/16 and Liberal Sky News' liberal Newspaper review, by card carrying liberal 31/1/17) and as such, continually proves to be biased.
It has a pre-disposition for the feigned offence and regulation hysteria which is generated by the p.c. brigade whenever anyone says or does something, they don't agree with; always eager to validate and reinforce the liberal view.
It's so obvious from the body language and line of questioning by their news readers, that they don't agree with leaving the E.E.C. giving the Euro-fanatics tea and sympathy, whilst the disdain with which they view anyone who dare disagree and the short shrift they get, is also clear to see.
Poor old Anna Jones though; the sultry newsreader on Sky News was left to give the appearance of being confused by it all, exclaiming to a colleague '.....a war with a NATO ally.....what's going on?'
That's what these 'diversity' fascists do if they deem what someone said or did is 'wrong' though (see blog, University Challenge. Without the intellect. And free speech 16/3/17).
They take everything out of context, twist what was actually said, exaggerate and then finally of course, lay their own demented, distorted and bigoted view over it in order to cloud the issue, just as much as they possibly can because they know they have nothing real substance to say.
Make enough noise and shout, people will believe you; a distraction technique.
It's the 'throw enough mud and some is bound to stick' mentality.
But they're just mental.
And of course, empty vessels make the loudest noise.
