The answer to which way the money would flow, is of course obvious.
So why do the P.C. liberals (or anyone for that matter) think otherwise?
Why do they think that being in a union with poor Eastern European countries, enriches Britain?
How exactly can immigrants who come here and are economically worse off than the indigenous population of Britain, positively contribute to the nations' wealth and prosperity?
Eastern European immigrants come here to earn money, specifically to send home, as the low cost of living back home make the wages they export, high.
They may well pay income tax while they work here, but that doesn't alter the fact that they have only taken a job that a current British resident could have taken.
There are plenty of people on unemployment benefits and the unnecessary, additional competition for jobs from immigrants does nothing to help them.
So apart from being an unnecessary increase in the population for a start, it's one which requires more healthcare, education etc. again, in an ever increasing circle pushing demand and indeed pushing up the bill for British tax payers .
Note they are all costs to the country, not benefits.
It's not that British people don't want work, it's simply the fact they cannot afford to take the jobs.
I mean, what's the point of taking a job and working every day of the week, if at the end of that week you have no money left.
If you can't afford to live, advance yourself financially or afford some pleasures after paying all your bills, what's the point.
But the immigrants can afford to live on it, not least because to them the wages are considerably higher than at home, but because they pool resources to lower their living costs whilst here.
This is why there are more and more cases of overcrowding and indeed, more 'houses of multiple occupation', as they are known.
The unlimited pool of labour created also has a double whammy for British citizens looking for work, by way of holding British wages down.
Since there are people queuing up, apparently happy to work for the minimum wage, where's the incentive or indeed, the need to increase pay, as employers simply do not need to attract new staff.
Of course it's totally different in Australia, where they can actually control their own immigration and have the common sense to do so.
To get in there, you really do have to contribute to the economy; they simply won't let you be a cost to the indigenous population.
You have to prove you are either both financially independent and wealthy, or be there at the request and proven need of Australian companies.
Yet still all the P.C. liberals can say is that we need these immigrants.
No, we don't.
It's storing up a lot of trouble for this country and the sooner we put a stop to unlimited immigration, the better.
And the only way we can do that is to pull out of the wretched E.E.C.
And the sooner people realize that, even better.
